Accredited Flight School

Utah Helicopter offers flight training under Federal Aviation Regulations Part 61 and Federal Aviation Regulations Part 141. Both programs offer you an outlined training program required by the FAA. Utah Helicopter offers students the choice between the two programs and each is designed to meet a purpose. The difference is how the training is accomplished. Part 61 offers more flexibility because the FAA does not require the flight instructor to follow a syllabus even though they adhere to educational requirements. The instructor can choose when and where to cover required materials based on student progress. Part 141 is a more structured environment. Instructors and students must adhere to the approved syllabus throughout the entire training. Both have their benefits but the advantage is you can choose either at Utah Helicopter.
